Acceptance does not say “Just accept it.”
Acceptance does not say “I have to accept.”
It does not expel emotions or thoughts that seem unaccepting.
That is not what Acceptance is.
Acceptance sits by emotions.
Acceptance sits by negative thoughts.
It observes their urgent and desperate cries.
Acceptance even sits by the voice within us that says “Just accept it” and “I have to accept.”
And observes the urgent and desperate cry of that voice.
It does not “need to” sit and observe perfectly
The emotions, negative thoughts, and negative inner voice
It simply prefers to sit and observe.
I “prefer to” accept them, but I don’t “have to” accept them.
By not setting these expectations,
Acceptance comes more unforced and naturally.
And when I find it difficult for Acceptance to come now,
I “prefer to” be patient with this,
But I do not “have to” have perfect patience.
When I am ready to give it patience, I am ready.
When I am not, that is ok.
By not setting these expectations,
Patience comes more unforced and naturally.
